Oh man, I am so blessed. This shower thrown by my mum & bridesmaids was the most beautiful affair. The flower arrangements & food were nothing less than divine & I am so so lucky.
It is hard sometimes to have your heart spread all over the world; friends & family in too many places, none of which are close enough. But for this short time, so many of those people were all in one room. It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. Here, in these photos, are some of the most influential women in my life. These are impressive women. My mum, nanna, step mum, & Aunty Mel are the imperfect combination of the woman I aspire to be, & I am so grateful to have you to look to in this world of so much...other.
I wish they could all see themselves the way I see them. I wish they could all see the fierceness that takes over when they discuss their children & their hopes for their futures. They would all tell me right now that I'm exaggerating, but I swear to you, I'm not. I think worlds begin & end with these women & they don't even realize it.
Anyway, what I'm really trying to say is how intensely lucky I feel to have these women (& many more!) in my life. This shower was so special.
